We’ve been to this place a handful of times. It’s a gorgeous space- a refurbished roundhouse. The arcade is great to keep the kids busy. I’ve always liked the food. I had the Salmon Bowl and tried a piece of pizza— both were good. If you’re going to the CN Tower and/or Aquarium it is a great spot for lunch.

We went in today and had a wonderful time playing games after a big lunch. They had a user-friendly kid menu with $12 meal options, and our adults had the pizzas… we thought the pizzas would be tiny for the price and they were enough food to potentially feed 2-3 people each. Our server Amelda was attentive and kind and let us know about the gaming. We had a great time. We’re tourists and don’t know any local places by name but this place was close to attractions we went to (CN Tower and Ripley’s aquarium). I would definitely recommend this place!

Had a great time at the Rec Room celebrating a bachelor party. The place was packed but we were still able to find plenty of machines to play on. There was a great selection of games to play! We sat down for a bit at the bar to watch the game and order some food and drinks. The fish and chips were great, I did not expect the fish to be as big as it was, I would have went with the one piece if I would have known, and the nachos were really good. The prices are very fare for the amount of food you get. I will definitely be back again next time I'm in town.

Went here for lunch after we when to the CN tower and aquarium. Our server was overall awesome. Food tasted great, fresh, tasty with good ingredients. Boys loved their food. Seemed like overall good value as well. I would def go back if we were in town. Cheers Rec Room staff.

We enjoyed dinner outside on the train tracks with a view of the CN Tower glowing at night. I had an Open Table reservation but saw they canceled it when my son requested we eat outside - strange. Patio was the best place to hear each other. The arcade and restaurants are noisy. The food was flavorful and tasty. Try the spicy lettuce wraps and calamari! Then add some funds to an arcade card and have fun playing games. This was a perfect family-friendly dinner spot for us.

We had a fantastic time at The Rec Room in downtown Toronto! It’s an excellent spot for both food and entertainment, conveniently located right next to the CN Tower and the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. After a fun-filled visit to the aquarium, we walked over to The Rec Room and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax, eat, and play. The food was delicious and served promptly—perfect for a casual meal with family or friends. What really stood out was the variety of entertainment options available. From classic arcade games to virtual reality experiences, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The staff was friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Everything was clean, well-organized, and designed to create a fun experience for visitors of all ages. If you’re visiting downtown Toronto, I highly recommend stopping by The Rec Room. Whether you’re looking for great food, fun games, or just a unique way to unwind after sightseeing, it’s definitely worth a visit

Tried their food for the first time and it was amazing! The hot honey wings were incredible, and the mac and cheese was packed with rich, savory flavor. The cocktails were refreshing and paired perfectly with the food—though I’d prefer a little less ice. The only hiccup was getting our waters served or refilled, but given it was a busy Sunday, it’s understandable. The staff was still friendly throughout. I’ll definitely be back for both the food and the vibe—perfect spot for a fun, laid-back date!

The Rec Room in Toronto is an amazing place to visit if you’re looking for a fun night out with family or friends. It offers a fantastic variety of games, from classic arcade machines to modern interactive experiences, making it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The design of the place is very modern yet cozy, with plenty of tables and seating areas to relax between games. The atmosphere feels lively and welcoming, and it’s easy to spend hours enjoying everything it has to offer. The restaurant is excellent, with a good selection of meals that go far beyond the typical arcade fare. There’s also a very good bar serving a wide range of drinks, making it equally appealing for those who just want to enjoy a nice dinner or drink while others play. A helpful note for families: children are welcome during the day, but after 11 PM no kids are allowed, so plan accordingly. The location could not be better,right in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district. It’s only steps away from the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Rogers Centre, and many other major attractions. Parking is also very convenient, with a large indoor lot just a short walk away.

Another business that needs servers but short 10 min away on a weekday early after noon. The pasta and 🍤 shrimp was tasty. Hamburger was good and my crispy chicken sandwich was crunchy. Every meal was good. Server was nice but overwhelmed by the crowd before a Jays game.
